| About the Conference
The ICHPER.SD Africa Region Conference serves as a vibrant platform for fostering scholarly interactions and growth in the related fields of HPERSD. This year the Conference is hosted by Kenya in recognition to Kenyatta University’s regional leadership in Physical Education and Sports-related fields, and exemplary ICHPER.SD traditions that are in line with the institution’s vision and mission of championing global excellence in teaching, training, research, innovation, and outreach.
Researchers, academicians, students, practitioners and all who are interested in ICHPER.SD 2024 Africa Regional Conference are invited to submit abstracts for the conference in topics relevant to Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance from all over the world.
| Objectives the Conference
The 8th ICHPER.SD Africa Regional Conference 2024 seeks to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to share experiences and best practices in physical activity, sports science and recreation. Within the three days, the event will showcase interdisciplinary approaches, practical experiences, and collaborative research outputs in different educational and physical training contexts. It will also encourage dialogue on future directions in practice and research that contribute to sustainable development among diverse global population groups.

Attire Guidelines for the Conference
- Day 1 (September 11th): Delegates are requested to dress in formal attire of their choice. There will be an opening ceremony to start of the Conference. The dress theme is black and white.
- Day 2 (September 12th): Delegates are requested to dress in sports attire. This will facilitate participation in various physical activities and sports-related sessions planned for the day.
- Day 3 (September 13th): Delegates are encouraged to wear African-themed attire. This will celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Africa and enhance the sense of community and festivity during the closing ceremonies.
Please note that we will have a welcome dinner and a cocktail during the conference period
